Flu season is still lingering, and to help prevent the cold/flu, here are some tips to help boost your child’s immune system.
  1. An apple-a-day keeps the doctor away! Eat lots of colorful fruits and vegetables. Fruits and veggies contain antioxidants which help fight bad bacteria.
  2. Wash hands frequently, especially before eating.
  3. Stay well-hydrated. Drinking lots of water keeps the body hydrated. Your child can also try coconut water, and bone broth, however stay away from sugary sodas and juices.
  4. Get adequate sleep. Getting ample sleep increases the number of your white blood cells. On the other hand, loss of sleep even for a few hours at night, increases inflammation in our body. Make sure that your family is getting enough zzzz’s.
